About Meagan

My massage therapy training started in 2006 at East West College of Healing Arts in Portland, OR and has continued with excitement and passion for 10+ years. License #14982

Swedish massage was the foundation of my massage carrier but I honestly never felt like those sessions really helped my clients. Yeah they felt great on the table but after leaving my treatment space their issues would creep back in. Was I really even helping? I started to question my practice while at the same time I began to feel carpal tunnel like symptoms in my wrists. Not knowing what to do or really who to go to for help I reached out to a therapist that had taught a Thai based CE class I had attended. That first session with him changed my whole path within this field.

There were no carpal tunnel issues, some of my cervical vertebrae were out of articulation and were referring pinched nerve symptoms to my wrists. Leaving his treatment room that day I was in awe and so damn excited to learn a new modality.
Since that day, some 7/8 years ago I have studied with and learned from some of the best local mentors! My practice continues to grow and change as science and I continue to learn and understand more about the human body. My sessions are focused on positive structural change which is achieved through a of blend of deep tissue therapy, Myofascial release, Neuromuscular Therapy, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Faciliitaion, and Thai movement. These sessions are giving through clothing and focused on working with the individual in front of me and less about a routine.

Through my work and experiences with structural bodywork I’ve gained the knowledge necessary to unwind holding patterns, relieve trigger points, decrease pain, and increase range of motion for clients.

Numerous continuing education classes support the ongoing structure of my practice and sessions.

Feel free to email/call to talk about your specific issues and how I can help! I look forward to meeting you!
